SEVEN SURPRISES
It is said that the Christian who begins to tithe will have at least seven surprises:
1. At the amount of money he has for the Lord's work;
2. At the deepening of his own spiritual life;
3. At the ease with which one meets his own obligations;
4. At the pleasure found in larger giving;
5. At the satisfaction in the practice of stewardship in time, talents, and possessions;
6. At himself for not adopting the plan sooner;
7. At his new appreciation of the goodness of God.
(Selected, Signs of the Times.)

DAVID BRAGONIER - COMING OCT. 3!David will be taking both 1st & 2nd services and an afternoon program 2:00-4:00 p.m. on October 3. Dave is both a Field Representative for Larry Burkett's Christian Financial Concepts and Executive Director of Barnabas, a Puget Sound based non-profit Christian financial ministry. Dave came from a successful career in the consumer finance industry. As he was in the process of climbing the corporate ladder, he felt God's gentle leading to change directions. At a missions conference he comitted his life to serving God and helping others. Dave now tells people, "I spent eleven and a half years helping people get into debt, I hope and pray God continues to use me the rest of my life to help people get out of debt!" God is honoring that prayer and is using Dave's experience and expertise to help others understand and apply Biblical principles of personal financial management. Dave spent the past fourteen years teaching God's principles of finances at seminars, conventions, and conferences. He writes a newsletter, hosts a weekly radio program with his wife Debbie, regularly speaks on radio talk shows, and has been a guest on television programs.
Dave trains lay counselors and helps churches start and implement their own financial ministry.
